Installing OpenVPN on Linux

This guide assumes that you are using a Debian based Linux machine (such as Ubuntu, Kali Linux, Parrot OS, or Debian itself). Kali Linux comes with the OpenVPN client pre-installed; however, if you do need to install OpenVPN, use the following instructions:

  1. Open a terminal. In Kali Linux this can be done by clicking on this icon:

    2. Type sudo apt update and press enter to update the local package repository.

    3. Type sudo apt install openvpn and press enter to install OpenVPN
