Welcome To The Leagues!
A TryHackMe league is a weekly leaderboard consisting of 30 randomly selected users from various platforms, including iOS, Android, and desktop. Participants are grouped based on their time zone or country.
Once a league reaches its capacity of 30 users, any additional participants from the same region will be assigned to a separate league running concurrently.
How Does It Work?
To join a weekly TryHackMe league, simply complete two rooms. Then, navigate to the leagues page under the Compete menu or the dashboard section on the right to view your leaderboard, where you'll be grouped with other TryHackMe users.
League rankings are based on points, with the user accumulating the highest score by the end of the week securing the top position and earning a promotion to the next league.
Promotion Zones
The user with the most points at the end of the week will finish at the top of the leaderboard and be promoted to the next league. The promotion zone can include up to 20 users, depending on the league. The current breakdown is as follows:
Bronze - Top 20
Silver - Top 15
Gold - Top 10
Sapphire - Top 7
Diamond - Maximum league; no further promotion
Anyone who finishes 24th or lower - in what is known as the demotion zone - will be relegated to the previous league. If you finish outside both the promotion and demotion zones, you will remain in your current league for another week.
When Does Your TryHackMe League End?
Your TryHackMe league will conclude around midnight local time, based on the earliest timezone among participating users. As a result, there may be a slight time difference of a few hours depending on the timezones involved. A new league will begin shortly after the previous one ends.
Important: To join, simply complete two rooms to be placed in the next league.
Prizes
Top finishers in TryHackMe leagues earn points based on their final placement:
Bronze League: Badge (1 time only) and 20 points for 1st place, 10 points for 2nd place, and 5 points for 3rd place
Silver League: Badge (1 time only) and 30 points for 1st place, 20 points for 2nd place, and 10 points for 3rd place
Gold League: Badge (1 time only) and 40 points for 1st place, 30 points for 2nd place, and 20 points for 3rd place
Sapphire League: Badge (1 time only) and 50 points for 1st place, 40 points for 2nd place and 30 points for 3rd place
Diamond League: Badge (1 time only) and 65 points for 1st place, 50 points for 2nd place and 40 points for 3rd place
The higher a user progresses through the leagues, the more points they earn.
Ties: If two or more users accumulate the same number of points, rankings are determined by completion time.
Badges: Winning a league multiple times does not grant multiple badges; each user can earn the badge only once. However, points will be awarded each time a user qualifies as a winner.
