Welcome To The Leagues!
Leagues are weekly leaderboards where you compete against 29 other TryHackMe users from around the world. Each league consists of 30 randomly selected participants, grouped primarily by time zone or country to keep the competition fair and active.
Once a league reaches its capacity of 30 users, additional participants from the same region will be assigned to a separate league running concurrently.
How It Works
To join a weekly TryHackMe league, simply complete two rooms. Then, navigate to the leagues page under the Compete menu or the dashboard section on the right to view your leaderboard, where you'll be grouped with other TryHackMe users.
League rankings are based on points earned during the week. The user with the highest score by the end of the week secures the top position and earns a promotion to the next league.
Promotion Zones
The number of users who get promoted depends on their current league. The current breakdown is as follows:
League | Promotion Zone | Demotion Zone |
Bronze | Top 20 | 24th or lower |
Silver | Top 15 | 24th or lower |
Gold | Top 10 | 24th or lower |
Platinum | Top 7 | 24th or lower |
Sapphire | Top 5 | 24th or lower |
Ruby | Top 3 | 24th or lower |
Diamond | (Maximum league; no further promotion) | 24th or lower |
League Duration
Your TryHackMe league will conclude around midnight local time, based on the earliest timezone among participating users. This means there may be a slight time difference of a few hours depending on the time zones involved. A new league will begin shortly after the previous one ends.
Important: To join, simply complete two rooms to be placed in the next league.
Prizes
Top finishers in TryHackMe leagues earn points and badges based on their final placement. Additionally, users finishing in the top 3 may receive a streak freeze or an XP boost as a bonus reward.
League | 1st Place | 2nd Place | 3rd Place | Badge |
Bronze | 20 | 10 | 5 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Silver | 50 | 20 | 10 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Gold | 100 | 50 | 20 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Platinum | 200 | 100 | 50 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Sapphire | 500 | 200 | 100 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Ruby | 1000 | 500 | 200 | Earned once (1st place only) |
Diamond | 2000 | 1000 | 500 | Earned once (1st place only) |
The higher a user progresses through the leagues, the more points they earn.
Ties: If two or more users accumulate the same number of points, rankings are determined by completion time.
Badges: Winning a league multiple times does not grant multiple badges; each user can earn the badge only once. However, points will be awarded each time a user qualifies as a winner.
Repeating Rooms During a League
If a user completes a room before the league starts, then resets and completes it again during the league, no points will be awarded. League points are only granted for rooms newly completed for the first time during the active league period. Repeating a previously completed room - even if reset - does not count toward league scoring. This rule keeps the competition fair and rewards fresh progress.
