GDPR Compliance Mode hides individual-level performance data (challenge attempts, skill growth, and other named-user metrics) from admins and managers, while keeping aggregate, group-level reporting fully visible.
Use this if your organisation is subject to data protection rules on monitoring individual performance data, for example works council agreements under German law (BetrVG §87, BDSG).
Configuration options
Company level
Affects both company admins and group admins.
Admins retain full account access: licence management, group creation, and other admin functions are unaffected. This setting only restricts performance reporting, not general account administration.
Company and group admins can no longer view performance reporting for named, individual users.
Group level
Affects group admins only.
Group admins retain access to their assigned group(s), but can no longer view performance reporting for named, individual users within them.
Company admins are unaffected at this scope and retain full individual-level visibility.
Turning it on
Go to Settings → Preferences → Compliance
Toggle on GDPR Compliance Mode
Choose a scope:
Company level: Hides individual performance data across the entire organisation. No further setup needed.
Group level: Hides individual performance data only for group admins. This requires group admins to already be assigned; if none exist yet, set them up first via Admin → Add Admin (see the Group Admins guide).

Where individual data would normally appear, admins will instead see an "Individual data hidden" notice, with guidance to contact the relevant company admin if deeper insight is needed.
FAQ
What happens if I enable Company level after already configuring Group level?
Company level overrides any Group level configuration. If you only need to restrict performance data monitoring for certain levels rather than the whole organisation, choose Group level instead and configure group admins within the admin section.
Can I turn GDPR Compliance Mode off once it's enabled?
Yes. It can be changed at any time, and toggling it off restores full visibility immediately.
Does Group level restrict company admins as well?
No. At Group level, only group admins lose access to named, individual performance data within their group(s). Company admins are unaffected and retain full individual-level visibility, including for the restricted groups.
I need more granular control. What are my options?
If your organisation needs more than company/group-wide hiding (e.g. role-based visibility per admin type), reach out to your account manager. This may require a custom setup.
