Content

TryHackMe's management dashboard is a great way to oversee and manage your users, giving you a detailed overview of their progress and activity across the platform.

Use case

  • Get a general overview of all the users within your dashboard

  • Retrieve live reports on users' activity on TryHackMe

  • Create assignments and receive assignment reports

  • View skill growth, engagement, content completion, and MITRE ATT&CK framework coverage

  • Track performance across the SOC Simulator, Threat Hunting Simulator, and TTX Simulator

User Overview

On the Users tab on your management dashboard, you will see an overview of all the users in your team. At the top, you'll see summary stats: Total users, Users left to join, Top user (this month), and Users removed from licenses.

You can filter the user list by All, Users in seats, Removed, or Empty seats. The table shows the following columns for each user: Email, Username, Total Points, Status, Last Active, Join Date, Seat Expiry Date, Groups, and Actions.

You can also Bulk Import or Bulk Remove users, and Download the user list.

User Profile & Activity

You can access a user's profile activity by clicking a specific user's row on your management dashboard, opening a page outlining their individual activity on TryHackMe.

Content Report

The Content report lets you see your team members' completion percentage of the Learning Paths, Modules and Rooms on your management dashboard.

You have three filters you can choose from: Content Type, Content and Users. The first allows you to select Learning Paths, Modules or Rooms. The Content filter displays all Learning Paths, Modules or Rooms from your Management Dashboard, and they are marked as Custom or THM content. You can then use the Users filter to select all users, specific user groups or individual users. If you would like to view the completion of native TryHackMe Learning Paths, you can clone it from the Learning Paths page and then select it in the Content filter.

The filters are not set by default, so the chart will not have data to display.

Skill Report

The Skill report tab shows Top growing skills - the skills your team is growing over the selected time period - along with a Skill coverage by role radar chart, filterable by role and level.

You can also view a skill report for an individual user by selecting them in the filter at the top.

Further down the Skill report, you'll find MITRE ATT&CK framework coverage, which lets you check each user's or group's coverage of MITRE ATT&CK tactics and techniques. Use the heatmap to quickly understand progress, and click View details on any technique for a full breakdown. You can filter by Status and Tactic.

Engagement and Usage

The Engagement and usage tab shows Time spent as a breakdown of Challenges vs. Walkthroughs training hours, along with Average training time (with a recommended benchmark) and Insights - automatically generated suggestions based on your team's training activity.

Content and Assignment Completion

This tab lets you track content completion, assignment progress, and top-performing learners across your team. Toggle Access by between Content and Assignments, then use the filters to refine your view. You can Download the report from here.

Assignments

The Assignments page (Team assignments) gives you an overview of Total Assignments, Active Assignees, Completion Rate, and Overdue Assignments. You can search for a specific assignment and filter by Time, Type, and Status. From here you can also Create assignment or Delete all assignments.

Clicking into a specific assignment shows its details, including a shareable assignment link (Copy Link), and a User Progress table showing each user's Questions Complete, Avg. attempts, Points, Assignment Status, Progress, and Completion date. From here, you can Add users to the assignment or download a Spreadsheet of the results.

Simulator Reports

You can also view team and individual reports for the SOC Simulator, Threat Hunting (TH) Simulator, and TTX Simulator. Each simulator has its own Team report and User reports, found in the Reports section of the sidebar.

Team report gives an overview of team-wide stats. For example, the SOC Simulator Team report shows Scenario attempts, Scenario success rate, Points collected, Total closed alerts, Mean resolution time, and Mean dwell time.

User reports break this down per user, showing Scenario attempts, Scenario success rate, MTTR, and Points for each individual.

The TH Simulator and TTX Simulator follow the same Team report / User reports structure.

Exporting Reports and Data

On selected reports, admins have the ability to export data - either as a .csv file, or a PNG image of the chart, depending on the report. Assignment-specific data can also be downloaded as a spreadsheet from the individual assignment page.
